What is a Metal Pan Stair?
Whether it’s a parking garage, hotel staircase, pedestrian overpass or any other commercial/industrial staircase, there’s a pretty good chance you’ve walked on metal pan stairs. They are the main “stepping stones” when constructing skyscrapers and other buildings and our Stair Components & Systems (SCS) division is a proud fabricator of these unique products. With decades of experience and top of the line metal fabrication equipment, we make sure all metal pan stair details and requirements are accurate and meet your expectations.
Concrete Filled Metal Pan Stair Treads Project
Our Stair Components & Systems division recently received an order for 599 Type 3A Metal Stair Pans to be used in the construction of commercial steel stairs. These concrete filled metal pan stair treads were the perfect solution to meet the customer’s demand for a strong, safe and durable way to construct their stairways. Our team of skilled fabricators went to work cutting, shearing and bending the treads, taking all metal pan stair details into consideration. The end result was a complete order of stairpans manufactured in square, making the installation process quicker and easier for the end user. The final metal pan stair details were 599 Type 3A stair treads fabricated from 14 gauge steel, cut and bent into 56.25 inch risers. The metal pan stairs were skidded on pallets, steel banded and shipped out from our warehouse to the customer.
